BOD CAM / PRIVACY
Privacy, in plain sight.
This pre-launch privacy notice explains the product principles Bod Cam is designed around. A full production policy will be published before the iPhone app launches.
Your footage belongs to you.
Bod Cam is designed to keep incident footage on your device and, when you configure it and your device can connect, in your personal cloud storage. We do not plan to receive, view, or store your video footage on Bod Cam servers.
Location and trusted contacts.
Location sharing, check-ins, and future distress features are designed to be optional and controlled by you. You should choose each recipient, understand what information they can receive, and be able to stop sharing through your device and app controls. Bod Cam is not designed to sell precise location data for advertising.
Product permissions.
The app will request camera, location, and notification permissions only to provide its stated vehicle-first recording, time-and-location context, check-in, and guardian-plan features. Your device controls these permissions at all times. Turning off a permission can limit the associated feature.
Emergencies and local rules.
Bod Cam does not replace emergency services, roadside assistance, medical care, legal advice, or local recording-law compliance. Recording and audio-consent rules vary by location and situation. Read our recording and privacy guide and confirm the rules that apply to you.
Waitlist information.
If you join the launch waitlist, the information collected is your email address and, if selected, your beta-testing interest. This information is used only to communicate about Bod Cam’s launch and beta access.
