RECORD WITH CARE

Ready for the road.
Respectful of the rules.

Bod Cam is designed for a user-controlled personal record: primarily in a vehicle when you have configured it safely, and through opt-in check-ins or location sharing when you choose to connect with trusted people.

This guide is product education, not legal advice. Recording, audio-consent, privacy, device-use, and emergency laws vary by state, country, venue, and situation. Confirm the rules that apply to you before recording.

HOW TO THINK ABOUT BOD CAM

A tool for your plan—
not a substitute for it.

Vehicle recording, location sharing, and check-ins all depend on your device, permissions, connection, and local rules. The right setup is visible, intentional, and chosen before the moment you may need it.

01

VEHICLE-FIRST

Set it before you drive.

Set up Bod Cam before the vehicle moves. Do not hold, adjust, review, or operate the app while driving. Follow local distracted-driving and device-mount rules.

02

AUDIO MATTERS

Know the difference.

Video and audio can be governed by different rules. If you are unsure whether audio recording is permitted, leave audio off and get qualified local advice.

03

RECORD WITH CARE

Public is not permission for everything.

A public setting does not remove every limit. Respect reasonable expectations of privacy, venue policies, safety perimeters, and lawful instructions. Do not interfere with public officials or emergency response.

04

LOCATION & CHECK-INS

Share only by choice.

Location sharing and check-ins should be optional, specific, and reversible. Choose trusted contacts, understand what they will receive, and review your permissions regularly.

05

EMERGENCIES

Use the right help.

Bod Cam is not a substitute for emergency services, roadside assistance, medical care, legal counsel, or a personal safety plan. In an emergency, contact local emergency services when it is safe to do so.

06

TEENS & FAMILIES

Keep the plan out in the open.

For age-appropriate teen use, involve a parent or guardian in setup and consent. Bod Cam is not a tool for secret monitoring.

PUBLIC OR OFFICIAL INTERACTIONS

Keep the moment
calm and lawful.

In a traffic stop or other public interaction, Bod Cam can create a foreground personal record only when you choose to start it. Prioritize safety, follow lawful instructions, do not interfere, and understand the recording and audio rules that apply where you are.

Do not rely on an app to resolve an emergency or legal situation. If you need emergency help, contact local emergency services when it is safe to do so.
