01Is this legal?
Recording laws vary by state, country, venue, and situation. Audio and video can be subject to different rules, and a public setting does not remove every privacy or policy limit. Bod Cam offers product guidance, but you are responsible for confirming the rules that apply where you record.
02Does it record in the background or when my phone is locked?
No. iPhone does not allow an app to use the camera in the background. Bod Cam records while open, with a black-screen discreet mode so it is not obvious.
03Can I set up Bod Cam while I am driving?
No. Set it up before the vehicle moves, then keep your attention on driving. Do not hold, adjust, review, or operate the app while driving, and follow local distracted-driving and device-mount rules.
04Where does my footage go?
Your phone first, then your configured personal cloud when your setup and connection allow. We do not plan to receive, view, or store your video.
05How do Safety Check-In and location snapshots work?
You set a deadline, grace period, and reminders. During an active session, periodic location snapshots can be collected only when you opt in and device permissions allow. A future server-backed release can send the latest available location to verified trusted contacts after a missed check-in. Location may be stale or unavailable, delivery is not guaranteed, and Bod Cam does not replace emergency services.
06Can I use Bod Cam during a traffic stop or public interaction?
Bod Cam can create a foreground personal record when you choose to start it. Prioritize safety, follow lawful instructions, and know your local recording rules — especially for audio. Bod Cam does not provide legal advice or guarantee a particular outcome.
07What happens if my phone dies or is taken?
Locked clips remain on your device and can sync to your configured personal cloud when your setup, battery, and connection allow. Bod Cam cannot guarantee that every moment has already uploaded.
08Is Bod Cam for children?
Bod Cam is designed for responsible adult use and can support age-appropriate teen routines when a parent or guardian is involved in the setup. It is not a tool for secret monitoring.
09Is Pro $9.99 per month?
